Detective Morse is a British detective TV series based on a series of novels by Colin Dexter. The film is played by John Thaw as Detective Morse and Kevin Whately as Sergeant Lewis. The play consists of 33 episodes and two hours (100 minutes, excluding commercial advertisements), 20 more than the novel, and was produced from 1987 to 2000. Dexter has guest performances without editing in all but three episodes.
