漂亮男孩，其实并不漂亮。
剧中，Nic吸毒后对父亲说的是：“这才是真正的我，一个你不喜欢的我。”这是他埋藏在心底二十年的话，只有借着毒瘾的劲才敢对父亲发泄。
他漂亮、优秀，被六所大学录取，可是他却吸毒，他为什么吸毒？
他有一个爱他的父亲，这是毋庸置疑的。剧中，Nic的父亲为了帮助Nic戒毒，做的不比世上任何家长少，甚至为了能感受Nic吸毒时的感觉而尝试毒品，为了寻找经常失踪的儿子不停地奔波，半夜里接到一个电话就赶到儿子面前，然后敞开自己的怀抱宽恕又一次戒毒失败的Nic。
